*** Travel Grant applies only to the oral and poster presenters. 

It is generally expected that authors of abstracts will secure their own funding for attending the conference. However, the ICCP has a limited amount of funding to assist  scientists from low-, lower-middle, and higher-middle income countries (see definition at https://datahelpdesk.worldbank.org/knowledgebase/articles/906519)in attending the conference. Preference will be given to providing funding for early career scientists (must be student or within 7 years of obtaining highest degree, with possible extension of 7-year period if applicant not working in science because of, but not limited to, caring and/or parental responsibilities, disability, personal illness, community obligations or national service). It is expected that about 10 such awards will be available. Note that in the event more applications are received than the number of awards available, awardees will be selected through evaluation of abstracts with prioritization given to diversifying awards between different countries and institutes. 

The sizes of the awards will be capped (e.g., full travel support will not be available) and not all applicants are guaranteed to obtain funding. On-site participants who wish to apply for travel support must be the first and presenting author of their contribution and must apply for the travel support by 15 May 2024. All applicants will be informed on the decision for travel support by 31 May 2024.

Each support grant will be awarded to the first author for a particular abstract. Should this abstract be withdrawn before the conference or should this abstract not be presented at the conference although the author who has been awarded is present at the conference, the financial support has to be returned, and the registration fee will be charged to the author's account. Support grants are non-transferable. Participants can receive only one travel support award to an ICCP conference during their career (i.e., those receiving travel awards in 2024 will not be eligible to apply for such travel awards at the next ICCP conference in 2028).
